If You Are a Social Worker or Care-Giver

Help Us Help Your Client

If you know of a veteran or their surviving spouse who needs home care, you may be able to help them receive a Department of Veterans Affairs benefit to pay for assistance with activities of daily living. Clients must be 60% or more housebound; income and asset restrictions also apply. We can assess whether the veteran will qualify for the Department of Veterans Affairs' "Aid & Attendance" benefit.

If they do, we will help them file all the necessary paperwork, cover the cost of the home care while the application is being processed, work with the client to provide their ongoing home care and help keep them in compliance to continue receiving the full benefit available to them. There are no out-of-pocket costs to the client. VHC's revenue comes from our contracts with home care agencies whose caregivers we place in clients' homes.
